Do you hate seeing photos of yourself and cringe!!
As you scroll through your feed or download your photos on your computer are you critical and critic each photo?
Would you prefer to have you head cut out of the photos? How sad really!
When a woman is seen with confidence she has the power to feel pretty and it touches other people around her. #confidenceisthenewpretty
Most people who love taking photos or selfies double check to see if the photo is ok, Do you do that?
Women struggle every day with the question of what we look like. Often feel trapped in a body we hate and i do understand that. Often we want to feel glamorous.
We are constantly fed the idea that ‘Thin equals happy’ really that is not true. Just ask a supermodel?
What if..we ..
Focus on our wellbeing
Focus on feeling confident
Focus on enjoying a pretty life full of passion and purpose
Rather than…How do i look? Is it ok? Do i look ok? Can i check? Really… do you want to enjoy the moment or do you want to check every photo that you are taking?.
Here in this photo- i feel so happy! and love this moment!
Sad to say many people do this-check and not happy with their photo or even looking at them!
Well, Its time to turn this into a fun loving way rather than a task.
I teach positive body image, self love and a healthy, balanced lifestyle and i want to see if we can turn photos of ourselves into glam photos that we really love!!!!.
I want us to say wow, remember that time and how funny was that rather than making statements like
I look fat in that, i hate that dress on me …this is a feeling, and its our brains that are telling us we don’t look right, we aren’t beautiful, we are too fat,too ugly, and the list goes on.
You are beautiful
You are gorgeous
You are so amazing
Heres how to start loving your photos
- GET REAL: The fact that you never really know the truth behind the photos! you see or take. It’s so important to feel good in your body, and be healthy, completely regardless to how that looks on the exterior. Being at war with yourself is so much more unhealthy than what dress size you take.
- HAVE A LAUGH: We are all guilty of taking life seriously and the key is to really enjoy, have more fun and have a laugh and if we are being more present in each moment that is something we can become more aware of.
So, I’ll remember how that ice cream on the beach tasted, not what I felt like when i hit the beach in my bikini with my stomach not as perfect as other girls.
I’ll remember what it was like to laugh with my friends, not the fact that my dress was not as fab as other girls.
Seriously stop comparing yourself to other women and focus on your fabulousness not your flaws.
[bctt tweet=”What we look like doesn’t reveal what’s underneath”].
That’s a lesson I’m trying to teach myself. It’s hard, but it’s soooooo worth it.
I’d love to hear how you love your photos… leave me a comment below….i have started a photo collection that i print off images and place in a small album by my bed and before i go to sleep i look at them and smile i feel so light up when i see happy real pretty moments that make my day. Try it its a nice way to go to sleep and what memories ar made of.
