The web, the internet, the television, magazines, you come across what do all these things have in common? They typically evoke feelings of doubt. Doubt turns to anxiety and maybe a little bit more worry. When we tend to focus on the things in our life not happening we get very feel like a huge letdown when it doesn’t come close to what we thought. And that’s probably why we let everyday life like jobs, running errands to run bills, pick up kids from school, cooking, cleaning, washing takeover and we think of it as a chore not an experience. There is no joy in the experience of doing it. Rather we should be connected to the experience with mindful attitude. Evoking excitement and making it a happy chore can make life rather fun.
We can all get stuck in a rut. What better way to get back our confidence is to change the environment in which we live. Pity its not the norm to pack up and head away overseas. We are faced everyday with decisions to make about our life and its how we choice what we do with those decisions. We might well learn how to love making good choices.
So here are 2 ways to overcome being stuck in a rut without having to leave the country.
- Be mindful. When we get stuck in a rut we think of the worst thing that can happen. Being mindful helps with changing that around to not get so caught up in the bad stuff. Being mindful, allows us to experience the opposite thoughts of loss and disappointment and thoughts based around accepting the good and the bad. It may take some practice but time that grumpy mood leaves town and you stay and push along into a mindful mood. It could put all those hard days into a space of honouring who you are.
- Mindfulness and Meditation. Relaxation can be just what the doctor ordered and when we don’t het what we hope for its hard to relax and just forget about it. But what you can do is use mindfulness as a daily practice and relieve the stress you can adopt a non-judental state of mind. To be mindful means to be aware and conscious of what is happening in your life now. Rather than getting caught up go on with daily tasks and jobs but with a new focus and degree of awareness notice feelings, thoughts, sensations all through the five senses.
